Let's knit a sweater together! Featuring Machia Design!

The event is intended for like-minded knitters. Experience doesn't matter, as long as you have enough enthusiasm, because both experienced and beginners will definitely find something fun to do and something to learn.

The knitwear to be made at the retreat is available in four different sweater designs. There are three yoke knits and a lace yoke, which can also be knitted with the most wintery yarns.

Havina is a yoke knit, the pattern of which is decorated with petals, tree leaves or water drops, depending on the color! The Kotikataja yoke sweater repeats juniper patterns. If you wish, you can also choose the Rae sweater model. All sweaters are knitted from yarn that is 100% wool or merino wool/cotton yarn. Yarn options: Borgo de Pazzi New Cedro 100% wool and Laines du Nordin Spring Wool 50% cotton 50% merino wool. You can also make the summer yoke from Katia rustic silk yarn (100% silk).

All sweater patterns are knitted from top to bottom, i.e. from collar to hem. This gives each participant time to knit the most challenging part under the guidance of a guide. Each participant receives €70 worth of yarn for the sweater. You can choose the color from a wide selection. In addition to the yarn, the price of the retreat also includes professional guidance, with professionals from Machia Design Oy acting as instructors.

The goal is to create a good feeling and a pleasant mood for yourself and other similar knitting enthusiasts. Of course, knitting is an important part of the retreat, but the award-winning location as the best tourist destination in Finland and the offerings of a leading player in responsible tourism make the retreat a completely new experience for many.

The archipelago delicacies conjured up by award-winning island hostesses and fishermen offer participants new experiences and good spirits. On Saturday evening, enjoy the gentle steam baths of Maasavusauna and enjoy the warm water pools of Kaislikkokylpylä. On Saturday, the program includes a calming and refreshing moment in nature led by a wellness guide.

Do you want to arrive on Friday, November 7th?

It is possible to arrive at the retreat as early as Friday evening. You can book accommodation for the night between Friday and Saturday when registering. Check-in is on November 7th at 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Please inform our sales service if you would like to arrive after 8:00 PM. Price: 75 €/person Includes accommodation, no dinner or breakfast. You can bring your own snacks for Friday.

Pakkaa neulepussiisi mukaan siis muutamat sukkapuikot sekä pyöröpuikko 40 cm (3,0 mm – 5,5 mm) ja pyöröpuikko 80 cm (3,0 mm – 5,5 mm) sekä muut neulontatarpeesi. Voit ottaa mukaan myös oman keskeneräisen neuleesi, jottei neulominen vain lopu kesken.
