Dining at Herrankukkaro (Mama's Pocket)
Simple but tasty - just the best of the traditional island fare, prepared by local culinary experts.
Delicacies of the woods and the sea are on offer. Our hostesses will select the lunch menu depending on your choise for dinner. If fish is served for dinner, there will be meat for lunch. Our hostess recommends the following: root vegetable mash with authentic old-fashioned pork stew - not counting the calories, or soup of cured meat, which is unbelievably delicious. If the dinner consists of meat dishes, fish soup à la Rymättylä, served with insular bread is also available.
The island style dinner is the highlight of the evening. It is served on a terrace where lanterns bring the light and waterfront campfires create the magical atmosphere. Dinner can also be served in a cosy indoor environment illuminated by candels.
Herrankukkaro is fully licenced for alcohol serving.
