Activities around the year

There are a lot of different possible activities to do around the year; every one will surely find their favourites. A wide range from restful to extreme and wild experiences. Here are short descriptions of some of our activities.

For early birds

Morning and sunrise are the best moments of silence and peace in Herrankukkaro. For early risers we offer a chance to enjoy this enchanted moment with a light breakfast served on the pier.

The Friday chief's Cooking course

In archipelago there is time for good food and good company. To combine cooking, fun and friends you can choose to order the Friday chief's cooking course. It leads you to the roots of the archipelago kitchen.

Hiking to the Bootlegger´s Hidden Caves

In the ever-changing nature we hike to the bootlegger's caves on the neighbouring island, where you will experience adventure and moonshine tasting. The route can be planned ahead taking into account the needs of all participants e.g. steep hills can be avoided. Duration: 2,5 h

Pole Walking in the Archipelagian Nature

Stretching and warming up and personal pole walking training to achieve right pole walking technique. Guided pole walking tour and stretching after it. Duration: 1-2 h

Adventurous walk in Herrankukkaro surroundings

Herrankukkaro surroundings are an exciting area for a walk. Filled with history the story of the guide goes on while you and your group discover the fascinating attractions. During the tour your group also tests its skills in a playful competition. Duration: 1,5 h

Fresh air on an archipelagic hill

Along a meeting a need for fresh air comes up. In a break of half an hour you can head for an archipelagic hill where you catch an eye-opening view. Our guide tells the story about area's history and leads you to the historical attractions near by. Coffee is served on the campfire during the trip. Duration: 1/2 h

YARD GAMES - Just as we used to as children

Games on the yard

Have fun with traditional games on the yard. Events include throwing matches, balancing on the horse stand, ice sledging, shooting with sling, rope pulling, skiing with planks etc. Find the inner child in you! Duration: 1-2 h

Herrankukkaro's adventure track

To challenge your team, to build togetherness and to win yourself you have to compete on Herrankukkaro's adventure track. The track consists of traditional yard games, cleverness, woodcraft and of playful spirit of competition. After five performance marks you have experienced excitement and fun! Duration: 1,5 - 2 h

FISHING

Rod Fishing contest

Fishing by the pier with rods and hooks. This is a refreshing and relaxing way to spend Your afternoons. If you are willing, we can arrange a tournament. When the sea is covered with thick ice participants can fish with jigs. Duration: 30-45 minutes
including coffee cooked on campfire.

Fishing Traditionally

Fishing with traditional hood and line with the master himself and his fishing tales. Options are a variety of fykes, jigs or nets or to smaller groups for ex
